Beltrami is participating in Fuorisalone 2018, with the aVOID artistic and architectural project

Beltrami is participating in Fuorisalone 2018, with the aVOID artistic and architectural project, a miniature Italian house exploring new generation lifestyles designed by young Marche-based architect and engineer Leonardo Di Chiara, powered by Häfele and Schüco.

aVOID, a space measuring only 9 square meters for living and inhabiting the world, will be present in Milan from April 17 to 22, one of the not to be missed events of Fuorisalone 2018, distributed in several areas of the city as part of the Salone Internazionale del Mobile (Milan Furniture Fair), animating the Piazza Castello and Parco Sempione areas with talks and experiences focusing on test living.

aVOID is the first prototype for a house on wheels entirely Made in Italy, 5.10 meters long, 2.53 meters wide and 4 meters high, highlighting Beltrami’s skills as well as its technical and sartorial experience.

A few square meters that do not lack anything, thanks to Beltrami, tackling the challenge of this new furnishing sector and micro-living style, custom designing the luxurious bed linens, towels and table settings for the tiny space, the first example of a Tinyhouse completely Made in Italy.

All the products are entirely custom made in Autentica Fibra di Legno Beltrami, a fabric made from birch wood pulp in an exclusive production process.

“Nine square meters,” – explains Leonardo Di Chiara – “correspond to the legal minimum size for a single room in Italy. I would like to take this opportunity to call out the need to reformulate the legal living standards for Italian houses, which dates to the provisions of a Decree from 1975, only taking into consideration the walkable surface areas, without evaluating the quality of the actual space in functional and technological terms. The situation in our cities has changed profoundly and is destined to continue to do so exponentially. The demographic growth in urban centres and increase in the so-called neo-nomadic phenomenon will force us to find new and unconventional living solutions focused on sharing and minimising.”

Come and explore 9 square meters that don’t lack a single thing, and that align perfectly with new living trends!
